How I Built celevent With an Agent (and Everything I Didn't Trust It With)
celevent finds Pittsburgh shows wherever they get announced (Bluesky posts, the live firehose, venue websites, City Paper, Ticketmaster), has an LLM decide which ones are real, and publishes them from @pittsburghevents.bsky.social and a custom feed. It posted 49 shows its first night. An AI coding agent wrote most of the code. That's not the interesting part anymore. The interesting part is the gap between "the agent says it's done" and "it works on real data." This post is about that gap.
